A Psalm from MLK Day Siege: Bow Down, You Lesser Gods

So today, we had another successful siege. I started praying in authority over the idols of convienience and selfishness, and got this phrase, “Bow down, you lesser gods,” and thought about when the Ark was brought into the house of Dagon, and the idol couldn’t stay standing. He just keeps falling over (1 Sam 5). I then began to journal. And here is what came out:

Bow Down, You Lesser Gods.

Bow down, you lesser gods
Bow down before the Lord our God.
Your authority over this land is naught.
Your influence is weak,
Your strength, none.
For our Lord is God above all.
Our Lord is God of all gods.
King of all Kings.
Ruler over all things.
Remove yourselves from your pedestals.
Come down from your high places,
And bow before the Lord.

Selah.

We once had allegiance with you,
But that is no more.
The covenant is broken,
And we are now enemies.
A new covenant has been made with Christ,
The Lord of all.
We pledge ourseves to Him,
And deny our desires for sinful things.
Convenience and selfish gain are no longer our goals,
but becoming like our Lord is our reason for life.
Loving our maker is the purpose of our being.
We worship him, the source of our love.

Bow down before Him you idols, you lesser gods.

SILENT SIEGE! Aug 12 recap and info for next meeting!

Hey everyone! Thanks to you guys who came out to the silent siege on august 12!!! it was exciting!

here’s some highlights!

- we began the day with some worship, led by myself and Hannah, who is quite talented. We mixed songs of intimacy with songs of intercession.

- upon arriving, we prayed prayers for strength, and began building the wall.

-shortly after arriving, a lady is escorted out of the clinic holding a clipboard, and is recording a video with her cellphone… From what I hear, she was doing a documentary.

- within an hour, two (that’s right TWO) police cars show up, and four policemen walk inside the clinic, and about 15-20 minutes, three of them walk out, and both cars drive off. No incident. we were standing on public property, so we were in the green.

- While praying I saw two images in the clouds:
1. I saw one cloud that looked like one of those precious moments figures, kneeling and praying with it’s hands folded.
2. secondly, I saw what registered in my brain as a judge’s gavel. It was moving across the sky, over the clinic. As I looked closer, I could see wisps of vapor coming off the top, as though the gavel was falling. uhMAZING.

- the crew stood firm for the whole two hours, and we tightened the wall for the last ten minutes.

- afterwards, we wrapped up back at the van with some more prayer, thanking God for providing protection, favor, and giving us grace to intercede.

So there’s a short recap of the first silent siege!!! If you are interested in participating in the next meeting/siege, please, let me know via private message. I’m thinking about sometime in the next month or so, maybe month and a half… once i get an idea on who would be interested, and when they are available, then I can get a closer lock on a date!

Finally, TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT US! the main reason is that the more people we have, the more often we can siege/have prayer meetings! and the more babies we can save!

one last thing! between now and the next siege, if you have a community of prayer near you, and you’re a leader, or know a leader, please try to hold a prayer meeting specifically targeting the ending of abortion, and the increase of adoptions. it’s alright if you don’t, but I feel it will stir our hearts in prayer when we come together again!!

Siege Information for August 12 meeting!

Hey everyone. The siege is still on for Wednesday!

sorry about the delay on getting the info to you guys.

Here are the details for Wednesday:

Info meeting:
10:30 AM
17 E Anderson Ln, Savannah, GA 31401
–See this map for information on what building we will be in.

I’ll try to put some signs out to help show where the meeting is.

We’ll have prayer & worship following the info meeting.

Siege:
Noon, following Prayer/Worship.
Siege is at 44 Lee Blvd.

There is limited space at the siege, as our permit only allows for 20 or 25 people. We’ll need some people to stay back and continue praying.

I just “inherited” the chapter leadership of the Savannah Chapter of Bound4LIFE. Most of me is really excited about what the Lord has in store for this year. The rest of me is thinking, “wait. what about graduate school? how are you going to siege AND go to class? what about people looking at you? remember how that other guy almost got hit by a car by the crazy lady at the clinic in Birmingham? And what if you get that job you’ve applied for!? THEN what?! THINK, Robert, THINK!” I try to ignore this part of my brain. It’s worth it all.

I actually wanted to speak, not to those who will be reading our blog, but to those who will be hearing our prayers (we pray with tape over our mouths, so I’m not talking about people). I am speaking to God. And to Satan and His Demons in Savannah. This past week, I heave learned that we have a potential to be a chapter that’s 25+ strong, and that’s not including Statesboro, Darien, or even Savannah Folk. So for you humanoids and bipedal creatures, I am no longer addressing you from this point forward in this post. However, if you would, agree with my prayers.

God, I come before You now, weak, broken, and unsure that I can pull this off. But I trust in your leadership, and in Your grace. Grant the gifts of administration, boldness, encouragement, weeping, fasting and prayer where they are needed, and, as we begin this journey, may you hear our prayers, and heal the land. I pray for each and every worker, patient and doctor at each clinic we will siege at. I ask that you would allow us to see them as You see them; that we would love them as You love them, and that we could remove ourselves for enough time that we could be a channel for Your love and grace to flow through as you change the hearts and minds of those in Southeast Georgia. Prepare the atmosphere, and send Your Holy Ghost to encourage the hearts and minds of those who are planning to be involved. Give us Your heart for the unborn as we begin to meet and pray. I ask this in the name of Jesus, to the glory of His Father, Amen.

And now to you, the Great Deceiver, the Half-Truth Teller, Satan. I have a message for you and your demons in this city: WALLS. WILL. FALL! You haven’t a clue what you’re up against. The same Man who cast you from heaven like lightning has got my back. I once heard that one could put to flight a thousand, while two could put to flight 10,000. You just wait till we have 5, 10, or even twenty on the line, silent as a deer to the world, but mark this: Our prayers are heard by our Father in Heaven, and they can move Angels, and they can move demons. You can throw all you have at us, but our prayers are never silenced!
